L'Adroit (formerly Hermes) is a Gowind class patrol ship built with DCNSfinancing and to be handed over to the French Navy.
L'Adroit was proposed by DCNS as a contender for French Navy plans to build a fleet of small, multipurpose warships to operate in the littoral zone.
DESIGN
The ship is a semi-planing steel monohull. It is 285.43 feet (87 m) in length, displaces 1,450 metric tons. The design incorporates a flight deck with integrated helicopter or UAS [1] launch, recovery and handling system and the capability to launch and recover boats (manned and unmanned) from the stern.
